Davies joined the U.S. Soccer Residency’s Program in August of 2005, playing with the U.S. U-17 National Team. He was named to the U.S. U-20 roster for the 2009 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in Trinidad and Tobago. Davies captained and started all five U.S. games in the tournament. Orlando City Head Coach Adrian Heath commented on Davies signing
“We’ve gained someone with a lot of experience for the young age of 22,” said Heath. “We’ve only had him in training for a bit but I can already tell he can develop into a great player that can eventually get back into the MLS.”
