The latest updates on the latest from the Orlando City Academy via the Purple Pipeline, presented by adidas:

MLS NEXT U17: Lions top standings in league play, 2nd in MLS NEXT Flex

Through 11 matches in league play, the U17 team has secured 22 points to lead the East (South) Division in MLS NEXT, while in MLS NEXT Flex, the team has 25 points in 11 matches, sitting second in the standings only by games played.

This past weekend, the team secured a 1-1 draw with Tampa Bay United, with Drake Wenger scoring the lone goal for the young Lions.

Their next match will be against Miami Kendall Rush in MLS NEXT Flex play, with kickoff set for 4 p.m.

MLS NEXT U15: Young Lions top of the table

Following a 1-0 win over Tampa Bay United thanks to a goal from Sean Johnson, the U15 team put on a goal-scoring clinic, beating Jacksonville 9-0. Jakob Garcia scored an impressive five times, with Matthew Belgodere, Zachary Olah and Johnson adding three others. Jaxon Ludwick, a U13 player that played up with the U15's, scored as well.

Those wins put the Young Lions on top of the table for MLS NEXT Flex, while sitting third in their division in the league.

This Saturday in MLS NEXT Flex, they'll take on Miami Kendall Rush at 2:00 p.m. for a chance to clinch the top of the table.
