ORLANDO – January 7, 2015 – Orlando City Soccer Club today unveiled details regarding its preseason plans in advance of its inaugural 2015 Major League Soccer campaign.
The Lions will kick off training at its Sylvan Lake facility in late January, including a number of closed-door scrimmage matches as well as an open practice for fans in early February. Additional details regarding the media day and open practice event will become available over the coming days and weeks.
“We’re thrilled to open preseason training right here at home in the ‘Soccer Capital of the South.’” said Orlando City Head Coach Adrian Heath. “We know our fans will enjoy the access during our open practice, and our squad will have the opportunity to grow together in advance of the 2015 MLS season.”
While initial plans announced the potential for Orlando City to open preseason training in Brazil, schedule issues prevented that opportunity.
