ORLANDO, Fla. – Feb. 16, 2016 – Orlando City SC today announced it has opened terrace seating and unveiled an aggressive campaign to secure another sellout for the Club’s 2016 Major League Soccer (MLS) home opener on Mar. 6 against Real Salt Lake at the Orlando Citrus Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The campaign, #FillTheBowlAgain, looks to repeat the success of the Club’s MLS debut in 2015, which drew 62,510 fans for the team’s inaugural home game. That historic match set the tone for the Lions’ entire home season, as Orlando City drew an average of 32,947 fans to the Orlando Citrus Bowl.
Fans have two options to purchase tickets for the March 6 match:
- Single day tickets are available at here.
- A ticket is included with paid admission to any “Kickoff Week” event.
Orlando City will host its annual Kickoff Week, featuring events such as the Purple Pride 5K, the Orlando City Pub Crawl and more. Admission to each event will include a ticket to the opening match on Mar. 6.

The Lions set an attendance record for an expansion team last season, and drew the second highest number of fans at home. Attendees travelled from all 50 states and from over 50 countries, driving economic benefit to Orlando. The Club also became the fastest in MLS history to draw over a half million fans.
The Orlando Citrus Bowl became widely known throughout the league as a difficult location for visiting teams to play, thanks to City’s incredibly loyal fans.
“I can’t think of a more fitting way to kick off our farewell tour at the Citrus Bowl than by filling the stadium once again with our passionate and ardent supporters,” said President and Founder Phil Rawlins. “Current ticket sales are pacing ahead of 2015, and we are excited to show Real Salt Lake what it’s like to come to Orlando and face us at home. If you were unable to attend last year’s home opener, now is your chance to witness history once more.”
