ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 3, 2016) – Orlando City SC has acquired the College Protected Priority of Orlando City B midfielder Tony Rocha from Sporting Kansas City in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
Rocha, 22, signed with OCB, the Club’s United Soccer League (USL) affiliate, ahead of its 2016 expansion season after playing two seasons for the Austin Aztex. Rocha, who was drafted by Sporting KC in the fourth round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, has become a fixture in OCB Head Coach Anthony Pulis’ starting XI, scoring one goal and two assists in 19 games. The former Tulsa University standout was called up for both of Orlando City’s matches in the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
