Orlando Pride has waived forward Sarah Hagen, the Club announced today.
In the Pride’s inaugural 2016 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season, Hagen appeared in 17 matches, making eight starts. The forward scored two goals in her 587 minutes and tallied two assists on the season.
“Making a move like this is never easy, and it was an incredibly difficult decision to part ways with Sarah,” Pride Head Coach Tom Sermanni said. “Sarah has been a consummate professional both on and off the field. We thank her for her commitment to the Pride and wish her the best of luck in her future, hopefully in the NWSL.”
Hagen joined the Pride via trade with FC Kansas City on Oct. 15, 2015, and was one of the Club’s first three players signed.
