Orlando City SC waives midfielder Danny Deakin, opening an international roster spot on the Lions’ First Team roster.
Deakin, 23, made three appearances for OCB after being loaned down for the season. Deakin was in the starting XI for OCB’s season opener at Tampa Bay on March 25 and came into OCB’s matches on March 30 and April 4.
Deakin was selected in the third round of the 2017 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft after playing for Detroit City FC in the National Premier Soccer League. The Sheffield, England, native previously played two years for the University of South Carolina.
