All eyes will be on number 10 come this Sunday. Orlando City captain Kaká will be making his season debut against the defending champions, Portland Timbers at the Orlando Citrus Bowl.
With the potential to have Kaká playing with Antonio Nocerino, Kevin Molino, and Cyle Larin, this game could finally let Orlando City measure themselves with their key players healthy. Head Coach Adrian Heath knows that Kaká is more than ready to play this Sunday. “He’s obviously had that enthusiasm. He’s really looking forward to it.”
Hoping to build off a strong preseason, Coach Heath will be looking for Kaká to build off of that momentum in his first game back. “He had a great preseason so we’re hoping he can carry that form into the regular season.”
As the captain of the team, Kaka’s presence, or lack thereof, on the pitch has been felt all around. “We have our leader back. That’s what he is, he’s the leader to this group.”
