"My name is Rick Elwood. I am the owner of Home Proud Services in Lake County. I am very involved in youth soccer through couching and sponsorships. Over the past few years I have been working closely with Orlando City Soccer Club as a partner and through my involvement in youth soccer. This year I was given the opportunity of coaching in the Orlando City Foundation Elementary School Soccer Clinic Program. This Program is really something special. Orlando City has always been a class organization. They have outdone, even themselves, on this program.
My soccer background. I have been a soccer coach for years. I have coached everything from small children to varsity programs. I personally started 2 varsity programs and 1 middle school program in 2 Lake county private schools. I have K-12 coaching certification from the Florida Department of Education and the National High School Athletic Association. I have a Level 5 diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. I say this program is special. The kids have a blast. They learn all aspects of the game, as well as sportsmanship. And they soak it up like a sponge and ask for more. I will continue to use this program in all my coaching endeavors.
