A native of Lima, Peru, Javier Carrillo attended Florida Atlantic University graduating with a double-major in International Business & Trade, and Marketing then continued to pursue a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Carrillo currently holds a USSF A license.
Carrilo has led his teams to win multiple championships - FYSA State Cup Championship, USYS Southern Regional Championship, USYS Region III Premier League, Danone Cup and the International tournament Torneo Elio Serilli in Rome, Italy. In 2016, Florida Youth Soccer recognized Carrillo as the FYSA Coach of the Year. In 2015, joined US Soccer as a national team scout under the leadership of Marcelo Neveleff. Carrillo was responsible for identifying talented prospects for the US youth national camps and later joined the Olympic Development Program Region III (ODP) as a staff member. In 2016 was named as the Head Coach for Storm FC - NPSL pro team. In 2017, Carrillo joined the USSDA Weston FC as the 2005 Boys Head Coach promoting numerous players to MLS academies and well-known European Academies as FC Barcelona.
In 2019, joined Orlando City SC as the Assistant Academy Director and U17 Head Coach. Carrillo is currently expanding his personal development as a member of the Elite Formation Coaching License (EFCL) course offered by MLS and the French Football Federation.
