ORLANDO, Fla. (March 2, 2017) - JetBlue extends its partnership with Orlando City SC to become the exclusive airline of Orlando City in Major League Soccer (MLS) and Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) for the next three seasons.
“Fun is one of JetBlue’s core values. We are excited to further our partnership with Orlando City and add Orlando Pride to our roster, said Nicole Tesser, JetBlue regional marketing manager, southeast. Orlando sports fans and JetBlue customers have one thing in common – loyalty. In turn, we look forward to showcasing our loyalty and commitment to customers and fans.”
“This is an exciting day for everyone involved,” Orlando City vice president of corporate partnerships Rob Parker said. “JetBlue is a company that aligns with our core values of community involvement and commitment to the city of Orlando.”
As part of the partnership, Orlando City and the Pride will fly JetBlue to and from all away games with direct flight availability. Additionally, JetBlue will be the exclusive sponsor of the “Fly Away of the Game” before each regular season home game, where two lucky fans will be selected to receive two round-trip ticket certificates to any JetBlue destination.
Orlando is one of JetBlue's six focus cities. JetBlue currently employs nearly 1,400 crewmembers in Central Florida at its Orlando Support Center, JetBlue University, Orlando International Airport and its Orlando maintenance hangar. More than 7,000 crewmembers visit the training facility each year for new-hire orientation and recurrent training. All crewmembers, including pilots and flight attendants, attend training at JetBlue University before they step into uniforms and out into the airport environment.
