Both Kevin Molino and Cyle Larin have been called up to their respective national team rosters as they prepare for the fourth round of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers. Molino will represent Trinidad and Tobago, a country that surprisingly finds itself at the top of Group C, which includes the United States and Guatemala. Larin will represent Canada, who find themselves in third place in Group A. The top two teams from each of the three groups will move on to the final round of qualifiers, known as “The Hex,” where they will play ten matches-- one home and one away against each team.
Canada will be traveling to Honduras on Friday, Sept. 2nd and then traveling home to face El Salvador in Vancouver on Sept. 6th. Trinidad and Tobago will host Guatemala on Friday, Sept. 2nd before traveling to Jacksonville to face the United States on Sept. 6th. They only need to draw against Guatemala to clinch their spot in the final round.
Molino earned his first call up to Trinidad and Tobago in 2010, and made his international debut the same year in the 2010 Caribbean Championship. Larin has represented Canada since 2014, when the team called him up for training camp in Florida. Larin then traveled with the team to Austria later the same year and made his international debut against Bulgaria.
