The injury bug has hit the OL Reign recently, as the Club were forced to place two players on their season-ending injury list in defender Sinclaire Miramontez and forward Tobin Heath. Heath was acquired by the Reign in June and appeared in five matches, tallying one goal, which was the game-winning goal on July 30 against Angel City FC when the Reign pulled off a 3-2 comeback on the road. Miramontez made three starts in four appearances for the Reign during the 2022 season, including two matches that resulted in a shutout, totaling 271 minutes played.
