Know Your Opponent | Seattle Reign 2018 pt 2

Who’s Hot

US Women’s National Team player, Megan Rapinoe, is second in the league for most goals on the season with four and one assist. Rapinoe has also been lighting it up with the USWNT solidly so far in 2018. Fellow USWNT team player, Allie Long, is making her mark on her team as well. Fortunately for us, both will be unavailable as they are on duty with the USWNT.

English National Teamer, Jodie Taylor, follows directly behind teammate Rapinoe for second in the league for shots on goal.

Who’s Not

While they’re sitting at second on the table the Reign have only scored 13 goals on the season which places them fifth in the offensive rankings.

Recent Team Form

The Reign sits at number two on the table currently but that is all up for grabs Sunday when they take on the Pride in a battle for the spot and to finish off week 10 strong. The team is also number two behind league leaders, North Carolina, in goal differential. They also hold the second best defensive record for a team in the NWSL.

Seattle also hasn't dropped a game at home yet on the season.

Head-to-Head

The Pride are 1-1-3 all-time against the Reign with the last three matches ending in 1-1 draws. The teams will be meeting for the second of three scheduled matchups of the 2018 season and the first on Seattle turf.
