Orlando City B (4-6-4, 16 points) closes out a three-game road trip on Friday, June 23, when it visits the Rochester Rhinos (5-1-5, 20 points). Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m. ET at Capelli Sport Stadium.

“Any time you go to Rochester you need a good amount of resilience, grit and determination because it’s such a difficult place to go and you know you’re playing against men that will do whatever it takes to get three points,” OCB head coach Anthony Pulis said. “I’m looking forward to see how our team deals with this challenge and I hope that they can step up to the plate as a group and get a positive result.”
This is the second meeting of the season between these two teams. On June 7, Richie Laryea found Hadji Barry for the opening goal in the 23rd minute but Antonio Correia equalized two minutes later. OCB took four points from last year’s season series.
The Lions fell to Ottawa Fury FC, 1-0, on Tuesday morning. Ottawa’s Steevan Dos Santos scored the game’s only goal in the 43rd minute. Earl Edwards, Jr. made his return to goal for the first time since June 7 while Ryley Kraft and Michael Cox each made their second consecutive starts.
Rookie forward Albert Dikwa is tied with 2016 MLS SuperDraft first-round picks Laryea and Barry for the team lead with three goals. First Team midfielder Pierre Da Silva is tied for second in the league with five assists. Edwards Jr. is tied for second with 38 saves and has three clean sheets this season.
Rochester is coming off a 1-0 win over Ottawa Fury FC. Defender Ryan Felix scored his first goal of the season with a header past Ottawa’s goalkeeper Callum Irving. Rochester goalkeeper Tomas Gomez made one save.
Wal Fall leads the Rhinos with three goals and Kenardo Forbes leads the team with three assists. Gomez, who played for the Orlando City U-23s in 2014 and led the Lions to an upset win by 14-round penalty kick shootout over the Charleston Battery in the 2014 U.S. Open Cup, has 19 saves in 10 appearances.
The Lions return to Orlando City Stadium on Saturday, July 1, to host FC Cincinnati in the second match of a double-header with the Pride. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
