ORLANDO, Fla. (April 14, 2022) - Orlando City B has signed midfielder Victor Yan to an MLS NEXT Pro contract, it was announced today. In addition, midfielder Neicer Acosta has received his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa and is now available to compete for the Lions.
Yan, 21, comes to Orlando from Brazilian side Santos FC, where he made his professional debut in 2018 at the age of 16. Since then, he has participated for the club’s U-20 and U-23 sides prior to arriving in Orlando.
On the international stage, Yan has represented the Brazilian National Team across a number of age groups at the youth level, most notably at the Sudamericano as a U-15 and U-17 and at the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.
Acosta, 19, is a product of the Independiente del Valle Academy in Ecuador, joining their youth system at nine years of age. In 2022, Acosta represented Independiente at the U-20 Copa Libertadores, scoring two goals in five matches as the side made a run to the tournament final before falling to CA Peñarol.
Acosta too has appeared for his country, representing Ecuador at the U-15 Sudamericano in 2017 and the U-17 edition of the competition two years later.
