Orlando City B Relishes the Challenge in First Away Game

OCB Baptism

This weekend Orlando City B will take off to Kentucky in their first away game to face Louisville in what Head Coach Adrian Pulis calls a “baptism of fire” for his younger players.

“We’re looking forward to it, it’s going to be a tough game. I think probably the toughest first road game we could’ve asked for… they had a great season last year. They’ve got some good players, some experienced players that know the league. We know it’s going to be a tough test for us.”

In their last game Orlando City B was able to walk away with a clean sheet despite playing with only 10 men. With a tough opponent ahead, Coach Pulis noted the young team would need to show the same defensive solidity as last week, along with the same character, fight, and intensity.  “I think if that was any sort of example to show them about how important it is they defend and work as a unit then that was that.”

Going up against a strong opponent however, will give Orlando City B great insight into the days to come. “It’s almost like a baptism of fire,” noted Pulis. “Like I said I don’t think we could’ve asked for a more difficult away game, but it’s a challenge that I’m relishing in and the players are too. We’re going in there really looking forward to it.”
