ORLANDO – May 31, 2015 – Orlando City SC midfielder Brek Shea has been called up to the U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) for two international friendlies the Club announced today.
Shea will join USMNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann's 22-man roster for contests against number six-ranked Netherlands on June 5 in Amsterdam (3:30 p.m. ET - ESPN, WatchESPN, Unimas, UDN).
Five days later, the midfielder will face 2014 FIFA World Cup champion Germany on June 10 in Cologne (FOX Sports 1, UniMas, UDN).
Shea, who has 32 caps for the U.S. Men's National team, previously featured for the red, white and blue in the team's 2-0 win over CONCACAF rivals Mexico on April 15. The midfielder has scored twice for the USMNT in 2015, finishing against Chile and Switzerland.
In 11 games started with Orlando City this season, Shea has logged 944 minutes and notched one assist, featuring at both left-back and as an attacking midfielder.
