ORLANDO, Fla. (April 24, 2025) – Orlando City SC has promoted Luiz Muzzi to Senior Advisor to Ownership, Global Soccer Ventures and Ricardo Moreira to the role of General Manager & Sporting Director, it was announced today.
As Senior Advisor to Ownership, Global Soccer Ventures, Muzzi will continue to report directly to Club ownership, offering his expertise and strategic insight on high-priority sporting projects and future growth opportunities. His focus will include international club partnerships, multi-club ownership models, and key sporting business initiatives. Muzzi will also continue to contribute to the long-term vision of Orlando City SC, working closely with ownership and the executive team on major Club decisions.

Ricardo Moreira, who joined the club in 2018 and most recently served as Vice President of Soccer Operations & Technical Director, has been promoted to General Manager & Sporting Director. “Ricardo has been an integral part of Orlando City’s growth, and his record speaks for itself. His exceptional working relationship with ownership, Luiz Muzzi, head coach Oscar Pareja, and the entire coaching, technical, and administrative staff, has been invaluable. Ricardo’s sharp analytical mindset rooted in data-driven decision making and his proven ability to create a winning culture will lay the foundation for an exciting future for our organization,” said Mark Wilf.

As General Manager & Sporting Director, Ricardo Moreira will report directly to ownership and oversee all soccer-related decisions. His responsibilities will include player development, Orlando City B (OCB), the Academy, player scouting and recruitment, analytics, performance and technical operations. Together with the front office, he’ll help steer the Club towards even greater achievements through a shared vision and strategy.
