ORLANDO, Fla. (June 17, 2016) – Stadium security and the safety of guests continue to be the top priorities for Orlando City SC, Camping World Stadium and the City of Orlando. To ensure the continued safety of guests, Orlando City SC will maintain the elevated security regulations already implemented across all matches year-round, including for the Lions upcoming match against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, June 17.
As of Saturday, April 23, 2016, all Major League Soccer matches, Soccer United Marketing games or United Soccer League matches played at MLS venues - including but not limited to MLS League and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup games, friendly matches, and fan events – are in line with those of North American professional sports leagues and follow the same safety policies, including:
- League-wide bag policy: Fans are prohibited from bringing large purses, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags, any bag larger than 14"x14"x6". All bags will be subject to search upon entry. The bag restriction will not apply to credentialed media, who will continue to enter MLS stadiums through designated entrances and adhere to all posted media bag policies and screenings.
- Wand or magnetometer: All guests will be fully screened by use of a pat-down, wand or magnetometer.
The same security measures are implemented across Orlando Pride matches in the National Women’s Soccer League at Camping World Stadium
