ORLANDO – December 18, 2014 – Orlando City Soccer Club has picked goalkeeper Josh Ford with the 20th selection in the second stage of the MLS re-entry draft earlier today.
Ford was previously with the Seattle Sounders FC. A former standout at the University of Connecticut, Ford was the 2010 Big East Goalkeeper of the Year and currently holds the UConn career record in shutouts, consecutive starts and wins. Most recently, he spent a portion of 2014 on loan to the Orange County Blues of the USL PRO.
“Josh is a very talented goalkeeper and will make a great addition to our squad,” said Orlando City Head Coach Adrian Heath.
