ORLANDO, Fla. – March 12, 2016 – The Orlando Pride has announced its 2016 preseason schedule, prepping for its inaugural National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) debut with four matches against in-state opponents.
The Pride will open preseason with a short trip to Melbourne on Saturday, March 19, where it will face Eastern Florida State College in a doubleheader with Orlando City B, the Club’s USL team. OCB will kick off against EFSC’s men’s team at 1 p.m., with the Pride face the Titan women at 3 p.m.
The Pride’s match at EFSC will be free to the public, but fans must reserve a ticket at the link here. Tickets include admission to both the Pride and OCB matches.
Four days later, on March 22, the Pride will play the University of Florida, followed by a third preseason game against the University of South Florida on March 30.
The team concludes the preseason with a match against 2014 NCAA National Champion, Florida State, on April 2 with Pride players Becky Edwards, Toni Pressley and Jamia Fields facing their alma mater.
