ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 15, 2021) — Orlando Pride has signed midfielder Jordyn Listro to a one-year contract with the option for an additional year, it was announced today. In addition, Listro, a native of Toronto, has also obtained a Green Card and will not occupy an international spot on the Pride’s roster.
“We first saw Jordyn when she attended our open tryouts last year. Throughout the year we have seen a big development in her understanding of game situations and she has brought forth her qualities for all to see. She played a big part in the Fall Series and is extremely dedicated to the sport,” Orlando Pride Head Coach Marc Skinner said. “The staff and I are looking forward to working with Jordyn and continuing to build on the skill set and mindset she already possesses. Her energy is infectious and this will be a great factor in her future development.”
Listro re-joins the Pride after a short-term contract during the 2020 Fall Series, which saw the midfielder make three appearances, all of them starts, for a total of 262 minutes. Listro took one shot on goal while posting an 80.5% passing accuracy, good for second highest on the team.
Prior to joining the Pride, Listro spent one season with UD Granadilla Tenerife in Spain's Primera División. A graduate of the University of South Florida, Listro totaled 82 appearances and five assists, while setting a school record for appearances throughout her collegiate career.
