Orlando enters the NWSL Playoffs as the three seed. As the three, the Pride face Thorns FC, the two seed, in the first Semi-final match this Saturday in Portland.

Alanna Kennedy’s 91st minute screamer last weekend against the North Carolina Courage not only won the NWSL Goal of the Week, it gave Orlando the three points it needed to leapfrog Chicago and take control of third place heading into the postseason.

45; 30

The Pride finished on top of the league in goals scored, netting 45 on the year; and assists, with 30 total. Orlando’s potency in attack only intensified as the season went on, now the Pride offense is peaking at the ideal time.

Camila, the Orlando Pride number 9, went down with a knee injury last week against North Carolina. The Brazilian playmaker has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Camila will undoubtedly be missed by the Pride, but the “next player up” mentality has been preached by Tom Sermanni and Pride players all year long. Camila’s injury was a huge blow, but now it will be up to players like Jasmyne Spencer, Rachel Hill and Chioma Ubogagu to fill the void.
