ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 11, 2024) – On Wednesday evening, San Diego FC, Major League Soccer’s (MLS) newest franchise, selected midfielder Heine Gikling Bruseth from Orlando City SC with the No. 2 pick in the 2024 Expansion Draft for its inaugural MLS roster.
Bruseth, 20, was acquired by the Lions from Norwegian side Kristiansund BK on Aug. 20 earlier this year as a U22 Initiative player.
With a player selected, Orlando City will receive $50,000 in General Allocation Money per the league's Expansion Draft rules.
