The home match against the Boston Breakers has brought changes for Orlando Pride Head Coach Tom Sermanni.
Tonight, Alanna Kennedy moves up from the backline to the defensive midfield, while Ali Krieger moves to center back and Kristen Edmonds takes over at the right back position. Meanwhile, Monica has returned to the starting lineup, joining Kennedy in the defensive midfield.
The match will also feature the debut of Rachel Hill, an attacking player that the Pride traded for after the Portland Thorns drafted her in the 2017 NWSL Draft. She will join Camila and Marta in the midfield, with Spencer playing as a lone striker.
The match will also mark the first home match of the season for Aubrey Bledsoe. Bledsoe was injured when starting goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris was injured in the match against the Seattle Reign. Caroline Stanley took over in that match, but Bledsoe returned to the following week and played in last week’s match against Sky Blue FC.
