Last Time Against the Revs
City will take on the New England Revolution for the second time this season as it hosts the Foxborough-based side at Exploria Stadium this Saturday. The two Eastern Conference teams last faced off on June 15 at Gillette Stadium, a battle that ended in a 1-1 draw on the night. Lions defender Robin Jansson scored his first goal of 2022 in the match, while Carles Gil struck for the Revolution.

Bear Chips
Midfielder Júnior Urso scored his fourth goal of the 2022 campaign across all competitions last time out against D.C. United, chipping D.C. goalkeeper Rafael Romo in the ninth minute of the game on July 31. The tally marked Urso’s 12th of all-time across all competitions for the Lions.

Fouls on Fouls on Fouls
Orlando City is by far the most-fouled team in Major League Soccer so far in 2022. The Lions have won a total of 348 fouls drawn. City’s league-leading number is 28 more fouls than second-place San Jose Earthquakes (320) and 49 more than third-place Columbus Crew (299) and Sporting Kansas City (299). The Lions also have three players in the league’s top 15 in fouls won: César Araújo (fourth, 60), Mauricio Pereyra (12th, 47) and Júnior Urso (T-13th, 46).

A Proper Duel
Of the 40 MLS players with at least 200 duels contested this season, Orlando City midfielder César Araújo ranks fourth in the entire league, with a 58.85% success rate in his 209 attempted duels. Araújo is topped only by D.C. United’s Steve Birnbaum, New England Revolution’s Carles Gil and Philadelphia Union’s Nathan Harriel.

El Maestro
Mauricio Pereyra is on the verge of Club history yet again, his next regular-season assist set to make him the first player in Orlando City history to post double-digit assist seasons in MLS and two assists away from setting the new single-season record for helpers in an MLS season. Pereyra’s 2021 campaign currently holds the record with three others (Kaká 2016, Yoshimar Yotún 2018, Nani 2019) at 10.
