ARE YOU...READY FOR IT?

Forward Rachel Hill currently has the highest number of goals in the league scored as a substitute. In 163 minutes, Hill has scored three goals for the Pride. Sydney Leroux is tied with Houston Dash forward Veronica Latsko, both of whom have scored two goals apiece coming off the bench. However, Leroux did so in 2 minutes while it took Latsko 181 minutes to score her two.

HIGH ABOVE THE WHOLE SCENE

Should they play on Saturday, Alanna Kennedy and Carson Pickett will both record their 50th regular-season NWSL appearance. Kennedy appeared in her first match back on April 16, 2016 with the former Western New York Flash. She went on to play in 16 more matches, including two playoff games on the team’s way to winning the 2016 NWSL Championship. Since joining the Pride in 2017, the 23-year-old mid elder has appeared in 34 regular-season matches. Pickett also joined the league in 2016 and recorded her first appearance on April 17 for Seattle Reign FC. In her two years with the Reign, the defender played in 36 matches. This season the 24-year-old has played in all but one match for the Orlando Pride.

WATCH IT BEGIN AGAIN

Since last playing the North Carolina Courage, the Pride went unbeaten in five of six matches and doubled their win count, defeating the Chicago Red Stars, Sky Blue FC and the Washington Spirit. During that time the Pride scored 10 goals over five matches, nearly matching the team’s previous total of 11 goals in nine matches.

‘CAUSE THE PLAYERS GONNA PLAY, PLAY, PLAY

Against the Houston Dash, Kristen Edmonds made her 49th regular- season appearance for the Orlando Pride, the most in Club history. If she plays against the North Carolina Courage, she will be the first player to play in 50 regular-season matches for Orlando. In her previous 49 matches, Edmonds has scored eight goals and recorded two assists.

BEEN WAITING FOR YOU

After missing four matches due to a knee injury, defender Ali Krieger will be available to make her return to the pitch for the Pride. Prior to her injury, Krieger had registered 5,334 consecutive minutes, which was the league’s longest active minute streak at the time. Since joining the Pride in 2017, she had played every minute for Orlando, including 90 minutes during the Club’s first playoff appearance. The four games missed marks the longest and only time Krieger has been away from the league since 2016, when she was out for five games while away on international duty with the U.S. WNT for the 2016 Olympics.

BIG REPUTATION

In her 75th NWSL regular-season appearance, forward Alex Morgan scored her third goal of the season and her 16th for the Orlando Pride. The goal scored in the 22nd minute gives Morgan the most goals in Orlando Pride history. Morgan and Brazilian forward Marta have gone back and forth this season for the lead, most recently sharing the title since May 12.

HEAD FIRST AND FEARLESS

With her assist on Alex Morgan’s goal, Shelina Zadorsky became only the second defender this season to record an assist for the Pride. Ali Krieger became the first when she assisted Sydney Leroux’s first goal in the 5-2 victory over the Chicago Red Stars on May 26. The helper marked Zadorsky’s first assist as a member of the Pride and her second in NWSL regular-season play. In the 2016 playoff, Zadorsky provided the assist on Ali Krieger’s semifinal score with the Washington Spirit.
