Last Go Around…

The last time the Pride faced the Red Stars on August 21, they earned a 2-1 victory over Wednesday’s opposition at SeatGeek Stadium. Rachel Hill scored her second goal of the season in the match, while adding an assist on Chioma Ubogagu’s game-winner. The win served as the Pride’s third-consecutive at SeatGeek Stadium. The Pride will look for back-to-back wins in a season against the Red Stars for the second year in a row, having earned 2-0 and 5-2 victories in consecutive matches against Chicago last season.

On the Board

Camila scored her first goal of the season on Saturday in Tacoma, converting from the penalty spot in the 79th minute for the Pride. The Brazilian international now sits at five goals since joining the Pride in 2017. Camila has appeared in 43 matches for the Pride in her near three seasons with the Club, adding five assists to her five finishes in her time in Orlando.

Not Home for Long

Wednesday’s match against the Red Stars will be the last for the Pride in Orlando in the month of September. Following their midweek matchup, the Pride will travel to face the North Carolina Courage on Saturday, Sept. 14. They then enter into a week off from match play before closing out the month on the road at Sky Blue FC on Sunday, Sept. 29. The Pride then close out the season with a two-game homestand, set to face the Washington Spirit in a rescheduled match on Saturday, October 5 and Reign FC in their season finale on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Nearing the 200 Mark

With her three saves in Tacoma on Saturday, Orlando Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris now sits at 199 saves in her near four full seasons with the Club. The Pride captain has appeared in 58 matches for the Pride since joining the Club in 2016, registering 11 shutouts while with Orlando. Harris recently reached the 400-save mark in NWSL, now at 406 career saves in league play through 104 career NWSL regular-season appearances.

Milestone Moments

Midfielders Dani Weatherholt and Alanna Kennedy each recorded their 70th NWSL appearances on Saturday against the Reign. Kennedy has registered 55 of her 70 league appearances as a member of the Pride, while all of Weatherholt’s have come with Orlando. Midfielder Kristen Edmonds recorded her 97th NWSL appearance in the match to inch closer to the 100-game mark.
