KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Orlando City got its preseason off to a winning start Wednesday, blanking Minnesota United FC 2-0 at Osceola Heritage Park in a closed-door friendly.
Ercan Kara opened the scoring for the Lions with a first-half goal, and Dagur Dan Thórhallsson -- acquired just a day earlier by the club from Breiðablik UBK of the Icelandic Besta deild karla -- added one of his own at the final whistle in stoppage time.
Orlando City also saw the debut of several new faces in the match, including offseason additions MartÃn Ojeda, Felipe Martins and Luca Petrasso.
