Midfielder Andrew Brody has a bright future ahead of him.
Currently playing for the University of Louisville, Brody joined Orlando City following a successful freshman season in 2013 with the Cardinals.
After the conclusion of his first collegiate season, Brody received two post-season accolades when he was chosen as a TopDrawerSoccer Freshman First Team selection and named to the Soccer America All-Freshman Second Team after scoring three goals with eight assists. But, the immense praise didn’t stop once his freshman season ended.
Brody continued to excel throughout the summer while playing left wing and central midfield for City’s U23s. He scored two goals and had one assist in 11 games, ranking him third on the team in points. Brody’s summer achievements helped him kick off a very productive sophomore season.
Brody’s performance in the Cardinal’s home opener on August 29th earned him a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week. Against nationally ranked Maryland, Brody netted the only goal of the match to give Louisville their third win on the season. With that game winning goal under his belt, Brody was crowned the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week this past Tuesday.
Brody is just getting started in his youth and collegiate career and the tally of honors can only go up from here.
