KISSIMMEE, Fla. (April 9, 2025) – Orlando City B (3-1-1, 11 points) hosted New England Revolution II (2-1-1, 8 points) for a midweek matchup on Wednesday night at Osceola County Stadium. The Lions handed New England their first loss of the season in a 1-0 victory to remain unbeaten at home in 2025. With the win, OCB eclipsed Revs II in the Eastern Conference standings and now sits tied in first with division rivals Chattanooga FC.
The eventual game-winning goal for OCB came in the 81st minute as midfielder Shak Mohammed got in behind the Revolution defense and put the ball in the back of the net for his third of the season. A long through ball from defender Jackson Platts found the First Team midfielder on the breakaway to put the Lions ahead late in the match.
The goal from Mohammed was the first New England had allowed through its first four games to start the 2025 season. Defenders Jackson Platts and Hayden Sargis both recorded their first assists of the season and their first all-time for Orlando City B across all competitions.
The Lions will hit the road once again as they travel south to face intrastate foes Inter Miami CF II on Tuesday, April 15. The game will stream live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET at IMG Academy Stadium in Bradenton, Florida. The matchup between OCB and Inter Miami II will see the sides face off at Generation adidas Cup for the second consecutive year.

In the final minutes of regular time, Orlando struck quickly off a long through pass from defender Hayden Sargis to midfielder Shak Mohammed. Jackson Platts received the ball from fellow defender Hayden Sargis and then found Mohammed on a perfectly timed run in behind the New England defense. The midfielder then slotted a low-driven shot into the back of the net that deflected off the New England goalkeeper and in.
