KISSIMMEE, Fla. (April 27, 2025) – Orlando City B (3-3-1, 11 points) went up against New York Red Bulls II (4-1-1, 13 points) at Osceola County Stadium on Sunday night. The Lions suffered their third loss of the season and first at home via a 4-2 scoreline to the Red Bulls.
Orlando City B stormed back multiple times in Sunday’s match to cut Red Bulls II’s lead down to one goal in each instance but was unable to find the equalizer. After New York Red Bulls II went up two goals early in the first half, OCB got one back off a deep free kick by midfielder Jhon Solís but saw the Red Bulls’ lead shoot back up to two goals just before halftime. The goal from Jhon Solís was his first of the 2025 campaign and seventh all-time for the Lions.
The Lions came out firing in the second half with a goal from forward Justin Ellis to bring Orlando City B within a goal for the second time in the match and were chasing a third to level things up, but a penalty kick by the Red Bulls’ Ibrahim Kasule cut those attempts off and set the final score.
The Lions will head north to take on Chicago Fire FC II next, on Friday, May 2. The game will stream live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET at SeatGeek Stadium. The match will be the first meeting between the two since the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs.
