On Sunday night the Orlando City Foundation hosted its fifth consecutive Awards Gala. It was a night full of speeches, epic highlight reels, and an award ceremony that rivaled the Oscars. Orlando City players, staff, supporters, partners and donors were in attendance with hosts Tom Vann and Daniel Dennis.

The Community Award - Tommy Redding
Presented by Office Furniture Outlet, the Community Award is given to the Orlando City player who has gone above and beyond to make a difference in the community. Tommy Redding was a shining example of this award in 2015. He made countless appearances throughout Orlando and always brought his work ethic and a smile on his face. Redding couldn't attend, so his parents accepted on his behalf.
Volunteer of the Year Award - Jorge Lagunes
The Volunteer of the Year Award, presented by Full Sail University, is given to a volunteer who demonstrates professionalism, commitment and diligence consistently throughout the year. Jorge didn’t miss a game all season and became a vital part of the gameday operations team. His dedication and willingness to go above and beyond proved to be something special.
Rookie of the Year - Cyle Larin
Surely on his way to becoming the 2015 MLS Rookie of the Year, Cyle Larin took home the hardware at this year’s Gala as well. The young Canadian gave a nice speech crediting his teammates and coaching staff on helping him have such a successful first season as a pro. The award was presented by Broadcast Service Group.
Top Goal Scorer - Cyle Larin
With 15 goals so far in 2015, Cyle Larin also took home the Top Goal Scorer award presented by the Orlando Sentinel. Larin became the first rookie to be awarded the honor in the team’s five year history.
Clubman of the Year - Lewis Neal
This award, presented by ProServe USA, is awarded to the player who represents the ideals of the club both on and off the pitch. Adrian Heath selected veteran Lewis Neal for his leadership in both the clubhouse and in the community. Neal sets a shining example of the principles for which the club stands.
Fans’ Player of the Year - Tally Hall
Presented by United World Soccer, the Fans’ Player of the Year was voted on via an online poll in the weeks leading up to the Gala. Over 1,600 fans voted in the poll and Tally Hall was selected for his hard work, leadership and performance on the pitch. Hall continually goes out of his way to interact with fans not only in person, but on social media as well.
Players’ Player of the Year - Darwin Cerén
The Players’ Player of the Year, presented by Central Florida Sports Commission, is one of the most coveted awards of the Gala. This award gives the players a chance to honor one of their peers for their handwork during the season, and this year the team selected midfielder Darwin Cerén.
President’s Award - Teresa Tatlonghari
This top secret award, presented by Orlando Health, is hand selected by President Phil Rawlins to one deserving member of the Orlando City family. This year’s winner, VP of Marketing Teresa Tatlonghari, led brand and marketing efforts that quickly established Orlando City as a leading Club in MLS and one of the most recognized sports properties in the country.
