ORLANDO, Fla. (March 28, 2017) – With a new year, new stadium and new office headquarter, Orlando City SC announces organizational moves to the Front Office, including the immediate appointment of former VP of sales Chris Gallagher to Chief Revenue Officer.
“As we settle into our new home, it is important that we congratulate and celebrate together what a historic occasion this move represents. It is also important that we look toward the future and continue to advance the Club we hold so dear,” Orlando City SC Chief Executive Officer Alex Leitão said.
Reporting directly to Leitão, Gallagher will lead all revenue generating aspects of the Club, including the sales, corporate partnerships, merchandise and youth camps/clinics departments.
Gallagher, who has over 20 years of sales experience across Major League soccer (MLS), National Football League, Major League Baseball and National Hockey League among others, led the sellout of the Orlando Citrus Bowl (currently known as Camping World Stadium) for Orlando City’s inaugural 2015 and 2016 MLS seasons with over 62,500 fans in attendance. His group also broke the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) single-game attendance for the Orlando Pride’s inaugural season in 2016.
“This is a critical role, one which will ensure Orlando City remains at the pinnacle of the leagues we operate in, and that will be important as we seek out and create new opportunities to push us further towards our goals,” added Leitão.
Additionally, current Orlando City SC Chief Operating Officer Fred Pollastri will keep responsibilities over stadium operations, gameday operations, IT and finance departments.
Leitão will continue to lead soccer operations, community relations, marketing, communications, content and human resources, while overseeing the internal operations and revenue groups mentioned above.
