OCB Perform Well, But Fall to Charlotte
Similar to the Orlando City match, OCB controlled possession and got the better of the scoring opportunities between the two sides in the first half. Albert Dikwa gave OCB the lead with a slotted finish past the Independence goalkeeper; assist came from Pierre Da Silva who continues to shine for Anthony Pulis’ team. Charlotte equalized in the 40th minute and a goal from Enzo Martinez seconds before halftime gave Charlotte the lead going into the break. The match would end 3-1 in favor of the Independence.

Orlando Pride Three-Game Point Streak Snapped vs Sky Blue FC
The Pride took on Sky Blue FC in New Jersey Saturday night and it was a late second half goal that proved to be the difference. Pride striker Jasmyne Spencer scored the game’s first goal in the 18th minute after some neat build up play involving Brazilian duo Marta and Camila. The Pride were in control of the match in the first half, but Sky Blue striker Sam Kerr netted a goal just before the halftime whistle. Sky Blue FC took the lead with eight minutes left in regulation after the Pride failed to convert their chances in the second half. The Pride controlled 67% of possession during the match, but Sky Blue FC were more clinical with their chances. Final score: 2-1 Sky Blue FC.

Jason Kreis Nominated for National Soccer Hall of Fame
Orlando City SC’s head coach is on the voting ballot for 2017’s National Soccer Hall of Fame Class. The former MLS striker tallied 108 goals (sixth all time) in 305 career games and was the MLS MVP in 1999. Jason Kreis was also a seven-time MLS All-Star selection over the course of his 12-year career as a player. Kreis was the first player in MLS to have his jersey number (No.9) officially retired in 2011.
