ORLANDO, Fla. (April 14, 2021) — Orlando City SC will open its 2021 Major League Soccer regular season on Saturday afternoon in a highly-anticipated match against Atlanta United FC, and it will do so in front of a sold out crowd, it was announced today.
The team’s 2021 debut, presented by Orlando Health, kicks off at 3 p.m. ET and will be aired nationally on UniMas, and TUDN, with English commentary available on Twitter. Fans can also tune in on Real Radio 104.1 for English radio broadcast or on Acción 97.9FM/810AM for Spanish-language commentary.
The Lions will begin the season with a limited-capacity crowd, as the Club continues to work with local authorities to provide safe and exciting match day experiences. In this initial phase, 2021 Season Ticket Members and Partial Plan holders receive priority access to match day tickets.
"Since we are starting the season with reduced capacity, our priority was to ensure that our Season Ticket Members had access to tickets for all April and May matches. The demand for tickets was not surprising and we are pleased that all tickets for the Home Opener went to Season Ticket Members first, followed by Partial Plan holders,” Orlando City SC VP of Ticketing Christopher Spano said. “We will continue to work with MLS as well as local authorities to further increase stadium capacity when it is safe to do so. We would like to thank all Members for their patience with us throughout this process and look forward to moving to the next phase."
Those attending Saturday’s game are asked to familiarize themselves with the venue’s current safety protocols. Key information on fans’ return to Exploria Stadium and a “Know Before You Go” guide on game day protocols, presented by Orlando Health, can be found at the link here.
