1. Four games, four wins. The Orlando Pride get yet another three points, this time on the road, as they take down the Seattle Reign in Washington.
2. The Pride held serve the majority of the game, controlling possession and the pace of play throughout. Seattle came into the game with a very counter-attacking style, which did lead to some chances, but the Pride defense held firm throughout, keeping yet another clean sheet.
3. Barbra Banda is, once again, inevitable. Her third goal of the season came just before halftime, when Summer Yates drove in a perfect ball into the box, which Banda was able to run onto and finish. It was a bittersweet moment for the Pride, since Yates ended up having to come out of the game after a tackle she suffered getting the cross off.
4. With the Pride heading into the locker room up a goal at half, it became the 19th game since the end of the 2023 season that they have gotten a result when leading after 45 minutes. An astounding 17 wins and just two draws speaks to just how good this Pride team has been over the last 15 months.
5. There's many reasons this Pride team has been so good over that time span, but the defense is where Orlandos hang its hat. Three clean sheets out of four this year, limiting chances and stymieing the top opposition talents have been exactly why this team has come into 2025 just like they left off last year.
6. Speaking of those clean sheets, Anna Moorhouse had herself a game tonight. Five saves, most of them coming in the second half, showed the quality of Pride's all-time leader in shutouts. There was no better moment that speaks to her quality than in the 81st minute, where Seattle's Maddie Dahlien got in behind the defense, and Moorhouse came off her line, closed down the angle, and made a spectacular save to keep the shutout in-tact.
7. The match also marked first starts for both Summer Yates and Ally Lemos this season. Yates, as previously mentioned, was forced off due to injury, but still made an impact with the game-winning assist. Lemos played a full 90 minutes and was instrumental in controlling the pace of play in the midfield. She also almost scored from a corner early on in the match, forcing a save from Reign keeper Claudia Dickey. Later on in the game, veteran Carson Pickett made her first cameo for the team this year, after dealing with a foot injury at the beginning of the season. Having a player like her available in key moments down the stretch of games just speaks to the bevy of depth this team has built up over the past two years and their talent from top to bottom.
8. This match also marked the debut of the Pride's newest acquisition, Oihane. The Spanish National Team defender came in for Cori Dyke in the 61st minute and held down the right side of the defense for the final half hour. She'll be an exciting player to watch as the season continues on.
9. The Pride now look forward as they get set to return home next weekend to host their old nemesis, the Washington Spirit. Kickoff for that one is set for 5 p.m. ET. from Inter&Co Stadium on Saturday, April 19.
