Date & Time: Friday, June 7, 2024, 10 p.m. ET
Venue: Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, Calif.
Competition: NWSL Regular Season
Where to Watch/Listen:
Broadcast: Prime Video
The Story:
- The Pride enter the match against San Diego riding an eight-game winning streak after defeating the Portland Thorns in their last match. With eight consecutive wins, the Pride became the sole record-holders of the longest win streak in NWSL history and will look to extend it against the Wave.
- The Pride have won both of their previous trips to San Diego on the backs of a 1-0 victory in the two side's inaugural matchup in 2022 at Torero Stadium and a 3-1 victory last season at Snapdragon Stadium. The Pride will look to complete the regular season sweep over the Wave after defeating San Diego earlier this year with a 1-0 victory at INTER&Co Stadium.
- In the Pride’s 11-game unbeaten run to start the season, the Club has fielded a different starting lineup in all 11 of its matches. Eighteen different Pride players have started a match this season with just Anna Moorhouse and Kerry Abello having started in every match so far this campaign.
Quote of the Week:
"It's always difficult after an international window. Also, with a week off as much as you need that break. Considering where we were, you know, we'll see how it goes on Friday in San Diego. We know it's going to be a different game. Every team right now wants to be the team that beats us and stops our unbeaten run, but you know, one thing this team has shown is their togetherness and their grit and determination to go out there and give absolutely everything and so far it's worked, and it'll be no different against a good San Diego team.”
- Head Coach Seb Hines
