The Story:
- The Pride are the first NWSL team since the North Carolina Courage in 2018 to go unbeaten in their first eight matches to start a campaign.
- Forward Barbra Banda scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season against Racing Louisville. Banda now has six goal contributions in her first three starts for the Pride.
- The Lions and Bay FC will meet for the first time in their Clubs’ history on Saturday night. Bay FC entered its first season in the NWSL in 2024 as one of the two newest expansion teams.
Quote of the Week:
"They [Bay FC] have recruited some top talented players both domestically and internationally. They are a team we have to be fully aware of and prepared for. In their attack, they have some really dangerous players who can hurt you at any given moment. I think we just approach it like we have approached every game, knowing a few of their tendencies and what they like to do, but also focusing on ourselves and building on what we have achieved so far and just reenforcing that message that we have to stay hungry for more success and more points. Especially at home in front of our own fans as well, we like to get more fans into the stadium to support the team and they can ultimately be the 12th player that can push us forward and push us on to get the result at the end of the game.”
- Head Coach Seb Hines
