- Orlando entered the break following back-to-back shutout victories, first a 3-0 win against the Washington Spirit at Audi Field on July 1 followed by a 1-0 victory at home over OL Reign on July 7.
- The Pride are seeking their first win of the Challenge Cup, entering Sunday with one point through two contests.
- Gotham sits in second in the East division in the Challenge Cup standings at four points, one point shy of North Carolina with a game in hand.
Quote of the Week:
“The Challenge Cup is a bit different going into these next four games because they have been midweek and we’ve had league games in between. It’s a competition that we want to win and that we want to compete in. We aren’t far away from winning our group and we want to start where we left off. We want to go after Gotham on Sunday, put them under pressure and again we want to make this environment a hostile environment, a difficult place to play and that’s what has been our success this year and we want to continue that throughout the season.”
- Head Coach Seb Hines
