Canadian Goalfest
Toronto FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps scored seven goals in a back-and-forth thriller Saturday. The Whitecaps got on the board twice before the 20th minute before a Sebastian “Atomic Ant” Giovinco brace knotted it up in the 66th. Vancouver responded with two goals in three minutes before Drew Moor pulled TFC within one.

Kei Kamara Debuts for Revs
New England made a big splash last week when it landed Crew SC’s star striker Kei Kamara. He didn’t get on the scoresheet, but New England coach Jay Heaps said he could feel Kamara’s impact “right away.” Kamara registered six shots and four on target as the Revs earned their first win since April 1, 2-0 over Chicago.

Tommy McNamara Curls NYCFC to Victory
With New York City and Portland tied in the 65th minute Sunday at Providence Park, Andrea Pirlo gave a little flick to Tommy McNamara on the edge of the area. McNamara curled an arching right-footed shot way out of Portland goalkeeper Jake Gleeson’s reach, off the post and in for arguably NYCFC’s biggest win in franchise history.

Blas’ Bicycle
Vancouver Whitecaps forward Blas Pérez scored the game-winning goal in stellar fashion in the 88th minute last Wednesday. The Panamanian scored his second goal of the game when Kekuta Manneh’s shot was blocked in the box and Pérez ripped a left-footed bicycle kick past a helpless Matt Lampson.
