Kei Kamara Scores as Revs Down His Old Club Columbus
Kei Kamara scored in the 71st minute as the New England Revolution defeated the Columbus Crew 3-1 on Saturday. The Sierra Leonean forward was chosen by the Crew in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft, spending two seasons with them before being traded. He returned to the Crew in 2015 only to be traded early this season to New England. Two scoring chances passed Kamara up before he finally found the back of the net in the second half and relished the moment he scored against his former club.
Sounders’ Struggles at Home Continue Against Galaxy
Seattle now has an MLS-high five losses at home after their 1-0 defeat at the hands of the LA Galaxy. The Sounders continue to draw the largest crowds in the league, but for the third straight time failed to even get a point at CenturyLink Field. The home losses have contributed to Seattle’s drop to the bottom of the Western Conference table. The Galaxy, with the victory, managed their first road win since April 15.

FC Dallas Wins and Takes Top Spot in MLS Power Rankings
Dallas’ 1-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Friday night, combined with the Colorado Rapids 2-2 draw on Saturday with Vancouver, gave them a 3-point lead in the Western Conference table. A wider lead in the standings wasn’t the only thing to come from the win. On Tuesday, FC Dallas overtook the Rapids for the #1 spot in the MLS Power Rankings.
