2 - Keep ‘em under
Holding CF Montréal under two goals on Sunday appears to be the key for Orlando City to earn a result and reach the postseason. The Canadian side is 2-11-7 when held to one goal or fewer, while Orlando City is unbeaten when allowing one goal or fewer at 9-0-10.
10 - Double digit Dike?
Red-hot Orlando striker Daryl Dike has six goals in his last eight games, giving him a total of nine in about a half-season’s worth of MLS play. If Dike scores on Decision Day against Montréal, he will become the seventh player to reach 10 or more MLS goals in an Orlando City season. Previous entries include Nani (twice, including this season), Tesho Akindele, Chris Mueller, Cyle Larin (three times), Kevin Molino and Dom Dwyer.
22 - The beautiful game
Orlando City has not played at Stade Saputo since June 1, 2019, when the Lions routed Montréal 3-0 on their own ground. Nani scored his 100th career club goal in that contest, but the match was most notable for one of the great goals in Orlando City history, a 22-pass sequence that ended with a diving Will Johnson header into the back of the net.
5 - Road warriors
Orlando City has a chance to tie its club record for away wins in a season with a victory in Québec this Sunday. A win would be the Lions’ fifth in official road games this year, equal to the number they reached in 2015. Orlando City’s first goal on Sunday would be its 20th in an away fixture this year, the first time the Lions would hit that mark since 2016.
