Cyle Larin had a big day on Sunday. With his hat trick against NYCFC, Cyle Larin became only the eigth rookie to ever accomplish the feat, and only the third rookie to ever do so on an expansion side. Also, with the three goals added to his account he is also only two goals away from setting the MLS record for goals in a season by a rookie. All of that hasn't gone unnoticed by MLS.
Larin was awarded MLS Team of the Week honors along side world-class striker Sebastian Giovinco and David Villa. His third strike on the day was nominated for MLS Goal of the Week. It's the second time Larin has been nominated for the honor.
