Orlando City SC take on the New York Red Bulls tonight and we have put together a list of a few impact players from the Lions who are worthy of consideration in your DraftKings roster.
Haven’t tried DraftKings? It’s easy. Each player is given a fictitious $50,000 to spend on assembling his or her roster. Players’ salaries are determined by their on-field performance, FPPG, or Fantasy Points Per Game. Each roster consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, a keeper, and one flex spot (any field player).
Here are a few Orlando City players to keep an eye on tonight:
Brek Shea - DEF: 6.8 FPPG, $4,000 - You’ve seen how Brek Shea has performed in the last two weeks off of the bench. If he gets the start tonight or comes into the game in the second half with a similar impact he’ll be certainly worth the $4,000 price tag. He might also have some added inspiration after celebrating the birth of his child this week.
Darwin Céren - MID: 6.5 FPPG, $4,000 - Darwin Céren is another player who is working his way back into fitness. His assist off the bench last weekend in Chicago led to Bryan Róchez’s game winner and he has shown a knack for finding the back of the net himself. Similar to Shea, Céren will be a good buy tonight whether he starts or comes off the bench.
Kaká - MID: 7.5 FPPG, $10,500 - Orlando City’s captain returns to the pitch tonight and should bolster Orlando City’s attack. He has been a DraftKings force this season as he tends to pile up goals, assists, and also serves as Orlando’s primary penalty kick specialist. Look for him to step right in and contribute tonight in New York.
Around the League:
Darlington Nagbe - MID: 5.2 FPPG, $6,700 - With Portland and Columbus in action on Saturday the speedy Timbers midfielder would be a nice addition to your roster. He is 9th in the league in key passes and can be a crucial cog in Portland’s attack. He also has the potential to find the back of the net so at his price tag he is a great value.
Charlie Davies - FWD: 8.9 FPPG, $8,400 - Davies leads a Revolution attack that, last weekend aside, looks to be firing on all cylinders as of late. With Nguyen feeding balls into the box and Diego Fagúndez alongside Davies he’ll have a wealth of opportunities to score you some points.
