El-Munir’s Defense
Speed and savy. Despite a some shaky team moments on defense, Mohamed El-Munir had a few plays that caught our eye.
Watch Lamine Sané let his attacker run into an offside position. Stunting a chance on goal.
The easy pass here was to Yoshi on his left, and it’s clear that is what both Red Bull defenders were thinking. Kljestan saw Meram’s run the whole way and hit him for the hockey assist on Johnson’s goal.
This free kick shows you the danger Kljestan can bring from the set piece. If Sané doesn’t take a slight misstep, it’s a goal for Orlando City.
Service must be bad.

My Opinion
I think Dom just had good position 😳
Watch as Dwyer gestures into the open space behind the Red Bulls defense. Remember, there is no offside on throw ins. Heads up play by El-Munir and spectacular finish from Dwyer.
You saw flashes of the nineteen-year-old’s potential on Saturday. Not all of these GIF’s end well, but they show what Colmán can bring to the game.
This didn’t work, but I really like the idea. If Robles gives up a rebound, Dom is there to clean it up.

Will Johnson, Wrecking Ball
Just one of a handful of hard nosed plays from Will Johnson on the day.
Mueller Nearly Opens His Account
Smart play from the rookie and excellent delivery from Kljestan. So close.
