ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 24, 2022) — Major League Soccer has announced the first-ever match schedule for MLS NEXT Pro, including the complete 24-game calendar for Orlando City B. The Lions’ schedule, presented by Orlando Health, will see the team play 12 matches at home and 12 on the road, culminating on September 18 with MLS NEXT Pro Decision Day.
Osceola County Stadium, located at the Orlando Health Training Ground at Osceola Heritage Park, will serve as the home field for OCB. Fans can sign up to receive priority ticket access as it becomes available at the link here.
Prioritizing regional play, teams have been divided into two conferences, an Eastern and Western Conference, comprised of two Divisions in each. Each team will play divisional opponents two to three times, as well as the other teams in their conference at least twice. A total of four non-conference matchups will take place during the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro season.
The Lions have been placed in the Central Division, alongside Chicago Fire FC II, FC Cincinnati 2, Columbus Crew 2 and Inter Miami CF II.
A total of eight teams, four from each conference, will qualify for the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs. This includes the top team from each division, and the two teams with the next most points in each conference. More information about the Playoff Format and Schedule will be announced at a later date.
MLS NEXT Pro will host Rivalry Week on July 10 – 16, 2022, coinciding with the MLS Heineken® Rivalry Week, which will see the Lions face off against intrastate foe Inter Miami CF II. That match will take place at Osceola County Stadium on July 10, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.
Fans will be able to watch every game of the MLS NEXT Pro inaugural season via live stream on www.mlsnextpro.com. In addition, more than 30 games will be billed as “Games of the Week”, featuring enhanced productions. Each MLS NEXT Pro club will have at least one home game featured, and all playoff games will be enhanced productions.
