Orlando City is #ComingHome with New Kits

Kit Release

ORLANDO, Fla. (February 17, 2017) – Less than three weeks before Opening Day, Orlando City SC unveils the home kit for its 2017 Major League Soccer (MLS) season set to play in the Club’s new soccer stadium in the heart of downtown Orlando. The uniforms feature Orlando Health, the official medical team and jersey sponsor of the Lions, for the seventh consecutive season.

"We congratulate Orlando City, Orlando Pride, and OCB on finally coming home. It's great to have you in the neighborhood," says Andy Gardiner, SVP of External Affairs at Orlando Health. "We've been your proud partner since you first arrived in Orlando and we're extremely honored you have chosen Orlando Health as exclusive medical provider and jersey partner for the Club’s three teams.""

Orlando City is #ComingHome with New Kits - We're #ComingHome

The jersey is made from heathered adizero material, showcasing the Club’s distinct purple color and, for the first time, metallic gold stripes down the shoulders and a collar for the first time. The classic three-stripe pattern continues onto purple shorts, leading to socks of the same color.
On the right sleeve, fans will find the longitude and latitude coordinates of the center of Orlando City Stadium (28.5410645°, -081.3890350°) recognizing the momentous landmark in the Club’s history.

The Orlando City crest has been raised with a regal, metallic gold finish. On the jock tag, the white City Lion head – extracted from the Club’s logo – represents the state of Florida.

Continuing with the tradition from Orlando’s inaugural MLS home jersey, the Lions Crown and the words “Orlando City” remain on the neckline and have been added to the players’ socks in gold, highlighting City’s championship tradition during its years in the USL.
