ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 25, 2025) – Following an injury in the Lions’ 2025 preseason friendly against CF Montréal, Orlando City forward Yutaro Tsukada recently underwent successful surgery to reconstruct his left Anterior Cruciate Ligament, it was announced today. The procedure was performed by the Club’s Chief Medical Officer and Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Craig Mintzer, at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in downtown Orlando on Feb. 21.
Tsukada’s initial expected recovery timeline is set at nine months and will be continuously evaluated throughout the rehab process.
The 2024 MLS SuperDraft selection has been placed on the Season-Ending Injury list.
